Job Summary:
As a Technical Support Manager, you will play a crucial role in providing technical assistance and support to internal business development teams and external clients. In addition, you will be responsible for file management, technical support, and coordination of resources for Cell and Gene Therapy (CGT) CMC development programs. You will serve as the interface between uBriGene Biosciences Inc. and clients, ensuring project success while maintaining alignment with the employer's and client's mission and goals. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, outstanding communication abilities, project management experience, and familiarity with CGT-related technical materials.
Key Responsibilities:
· Provide technical assistance and support to internal teams and external clients regarding biopharmaceutical development and manufacturing processes, equipment, and systems.
· File up and draft cell and gene therapy related technical materials. Build a training system to train the internal staff.
· Perform regular business travel as required, up to 20% of working time.
· Regular visit customers or virtual meeting and assist BD to fulfill the sales orders
· Attend and present on behalf of the company in the related industrial conferences and tradeshows.
· Coordinate internal and external resources, and support or manage related team to achieve technical excellence (technical innovation and alignment) and/or operation excellence (operational efficiency improvement and new workflow/platform setup).
· Participate in internal and external meetings to keep the project on track. Keep both uBriGene team and the clients updated in a timely manner on the project progress and decision points through teleconferences, e-mails, site visits or other suitable means.
· Monitor timeline and contract for accuracy and follow up on any discrepancies with clients and internal personnel. Confirm the completion of work by stage with client and ensures invoices are sent to client for processing.
· Troubleshoot technical issues related to manufacturing equipment, laboratory instruments, and software applications, ensuring prompt resolution and minimal downtime.
Requirements
· PhD degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Relevant certifications or an equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
· Minimum of three years of relevant work experience in technical support, project management, or a similar role within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.
· Strong knowledge of biopharmaceutical development and manufacturing processes, including upstream and downstream operations.
· Familiarity with manufacturing equipment, such as bioreactors, chromatography systems, filtration systems, and laboratory instruments.
· Proficiency in troubleshooting technical issues, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.
· Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
· Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
· Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate and comprehensive documentation.
· Experience with computer systems and software applications commonly used in the biotech industry.
· Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
· Fluency in English and Mandarin is preferred.
